On November 23, 2021, the Minister of Culture, H.E.M. Mohammad Mortada and his wife, Mrs. Maya Kanaan, visited the National Museum of Beirut. They were greeted by Mrs. Mouna Haraoui, President of the National Heritage Foundation, in the presence of Minister Raymond Araygi and the General Director of Antiquities, Mr. Sarkis Khoury.
Minister Mortada and the delegation accompanying him inspected the premises and observed the restoration work of the Museum following the explosion of August 4, 2020. Likewise, a tour was made in the New Museum Extension, built thanks to the initiative of the Es-Saïd Family and the National Heritage Foundation. Discussions have taken place about its upcoming inauguration.
On this occasion, the Foundation offered Minister Mortada a hardcover comic book on the reconstruction of Beirut's heritage as a symbolic present.
