On June 13, 2023, H.E.M. Mohammad Wissam Al-Mourtada, Minister of Culture, received at the National Library - Sanayeh Palace, the President of the National Heritage Foundation, Mrs. Mouna Haraoui, and the Executive Committee: Mrs. Nora Joumblatt, Mrs. Rose Choueiri, Mrs. Rima Shehadeh, Mrs. Joumana Debbane, Mrs. Youmna Ziade Karam, Dr. Hayyan Haidar, and Me. Elias Abou khalil.

Discussions focused on the issues threatening the National Museum in these times of crisis. Ways of cooperation between the Ministry and the Foundation were discussed in order to preserve our National Museum and keep its doors open to visitors and tourists.

At the end of the meeting, after studying the ongoing projects carried out by the Foundation in order to ensure the continuity of the cultural role of the museum, the Minister decided to entrust its management to the FNP given the confidence he has in Mrs. Haraoui.
