On July 25, 2022, His Excellency the Lebanese Minister of Culture, Judge Mohammad Mortada, awarded the ICCROM- Sharjah Prize to the National Heritage Foundation for Best Practices in Heritage Restoration and Rehabilitation in the Arab World in 2022. This distinction highlights the Foundation's history and achievements in the historical and cultural field in Lebanon over the past three decades.

This prize consists of a donation of 10000 euros. It will enable the Foundation to provide the necessary quantities of diesel to power the electric generators of the National Museum of Beirut.

The Foundation thanked His Excellency Mr. Mortada as well as the Regional Centre for the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property of Sharjah – ICCROM – for their trust and promised to continue the efforts despite the difficulties experienced in the country.
